Rahul visits Tripura
AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi today made it clear that all the state committees of Youth Congress and NSUI will have to be democratically elected.
So far, organizational elections of YC have been successfully completed in five states- Punjab, Daman and Deo, Pondicherri, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu and Tripura will be sixth state where party’s youth bridge to undergo organizational elections.
Rahul, who arrived here on Tuesday on a whirlwind tour to oversee the organizational election process of Youth Congress, spoke to media on different issues.
On his vision, party’s youth icon said that the organizational elections in Punjab YC had resulted in success in the last elections.
“The YC has achieved good success during the past one and half year. The process to democratize the YC and NSUI will continue”, he said.
“It is a mater of time to make the YC and NSUI a dynamic organization in the state”, he said adding that there was need to look for tribal people to ensure participation more people in the politics.
Terming the Northeast is very important in diversity and cultural perspective, Rahul pleaded the people to be involved in politics.
On being asked about the Chinese attitude over the Arunachal Pradesh, AICC general secretary said that the government would continue to press for maintaining decent relation with the neighour.
Later, the young Gandhi attended a Youth Congress convention at Town Hall and PCC extended body meeting where he strongly batted for strengthening of the organization to oust the CPM led Left Front government.
