She was hit by a bullet from the service pistol of the MLA’s personal guard who happens to be the son-in-law of the victim at Melagarh a week ago. The bullet hit her just above the left kidney.
The victim was shifted to GBP Hospital in critical condition today for better treatment. Doctors attending Ms Das informed that she was in ICU. “Her condition got worsen in the evening, prompting doctors to call an emergency observation”, sources said. Currently, she is being treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital, but doctors are not optimistic about her upturn. “There was no official word on her condition”, Police sources said.
