CPM sees red in Cong charge-sheet

The ruling CPI (M) today strongly criticized the opposition Congress “Charge Sheet” against the Left Front.
Addressing a press conference CPM secretary Bijan Dhar said, “It’s nothing but a bunch of lies, fabrication of the actual facts and it’s a political conspiracy against the peace loving people and sate government.”
Dhar alleged Congress is a party of terrorists and it always encourages the underground elements to de- stabilize the Left Front government and to destroy the peaceful environment of the state.
“During the Congress- TUJS regime from 5th February 1988- 10th April 1993, three hundred five party workers and leaders were killed by them and their associate militant groups,” he said. Dhar also alleged that Congress always tried to spoil the unity and amity between the tribal and non tribal of the state.
He also informed the Left Front have charge sheeted against UPA’s disinvestment policy, massive corruption, strategic alliance with imperialistic USA and anti poor and anti – poor policies. “The central leader ship of Congress and Pradesh Congress should first reply to Left Front charge sheet” added Dhar.
CPM’s spokesman Goutam Das termed the Congress charge sheet as dustbin and during the last 29 years rule of Left Front the achievement in developmental works and diminishing insurgency was even appreciated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh through various events. Das also informed that the election agent of CPI (M) candidate Tapan Das of Nalchar, by – election, Narayan Debnath has been threatened with murder and dire consequences by a Congress worker Jahar Sutradhar of Bardowali. The party filed an FIR and lodged complain before the state election.
